Doon Valley is a valley located in Sivalik Hills in Uttarakhand, India, home to the capital of Indian state of Uttarakhand, Dehradun. Doon or Dun is a local word for valley, and several valleys in region have names like, Patli Dun, Kothri Dun, Pinjore Dun in Himachal Pradesh.
